Online Seminar with the University of Da Nang
On January 6th, 2025, The University of Da Nang (UD) and the Kobe City College of Nursing (KCCN) held a successful online seminar on the theme of Planetary Health and Wellbeing. Around 130 people participated, including teachers and students from both universities. The seminar focused on the connection between human health and the health of the planet, discussing important environmental and health problems that affect people around the world.
During the seminar, students and faculty from both universities presented topics such as climate change, environmental sustainability, and their effects on public health, especially in nursing and healthcare. The talks highlighted the need for a broad approach to health that combines environmental, social, and medical views. Speakers also shared new ideas and methods for reducing health risks caused by environmental damage and discussed how nurses can help address these challenges. Each presentation was followed by a question and answer session.
The seminar was very successful in strengthening the relationship between UD and KCCN. By sharing knowledge and ideas, participants were able to learn more about planetary health and how it connects to nursing education and practice.
